Just in time for the holidays, we are starting private showings of our jewelry and accessories in the Chicago area. We are not available in retail stores in Chicago, but you can shop at our invitation-only parties, which are held in private homes. Or you can host your own party by contacting Rachel Goldner at rachelgoldner@aol.com. Rachel can walk you through the hosting duties and will be on hand for your party.

What I Learned in Business 101

Just returned from my last session of Business 101, sponsored by the Asian Women in Business. It was a terrific class, chock full of information and insights thanks to Joyce Moy, an attorney who works with small businesses. Today, I learned about credit reports and how to check my own. I was also told by my classmates/focus group that my necklaces are underpriced and that I should mark them up substantially -- after I sell my jewelry to them. Sold several pieces, the majority of which were scarves, my new division.

Many classmates asked for pictures of earrings and I will try to post them here today.

New Earrings

We have been very busy producing new jewelry for the holidays. Here is a sampling of the 14K gf earrings we have prepared. The collection includes vintage Swarovski crystals that we found at a bead show in New York, such as the pair pictured here.
Also featured in the collection is a wider range of Sterling silver earrings made with fresh water pearls, garnets, peridot and amethyst.
Our next stop is East Hampton. Hope to see you there.

Where to see us in December, 2005

This week, we will be appearing at a holiday crafts show in East Hampton, NY.

The show will be held in the East Hampton High School at 2 Long Lane on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We will also be at the Time Life Building in Manhattan on Dec. 8th. You can attend by invitation only, so if you want to come please contact me in advance.

Welcome to the new home of Wendy Lin's Jewelry and Accessories

You've probably reached this blog from my website, which is under construction. My jewelry company has grown signficantly in 2005. We are now showing at crafts fairs for the 2005-06 season and have opened a private party division in New Jersey . In addition, we have expanded our line to include accessories with new scarves/belts.
